A Lovely Tree
A great big tree
with a branch here
in front of me,
here all so near.
On this branch is
fruit of all kind,
but one is bliss
I set my mind.
I want this one
in front of me,
and it is done
I reach in glee.
But out of reach
I try to jump,
so high with each
but not a bump.
I try and try
to get the fruit,
so now I cry
with out my loot.
Day after day
I see my fruit,
and try and try
but get no food.
But now i see
my fruit is bad.
How can it be?
Now I'm mad.
With many tears
again I look
all around here
and I'm shook.
At all the fruit
I coulda took,
been i not moot
with just one look.
